A bug was fixed so that it is now possible to configure a date-picker facet on an hierarchical facet sub-field when configuring a search environment.
Email alerts can now only be sent to recipients and roles with access to the saved search project. This fixes the bad recruiter experience of receiving email alerts where the project links cannot be opened. Recipients without proper access are automatically removed when saving edits to existing alerts -- a warning is displayed before saving, so that users can cancel and grant appropriate access before proceeding. This change resolves issues where recipients received alerts but couldn't open or work with the results.

On July 14, 2025, several candidate sources will be retired from the legacy Textkernel external candidate search feature: CareerStructure, CV-Library, CWJobs, Dice, EfinancialCareers, Jobserve, Jobsite, Reed, Resume-Library, TotalJobs, and VDAB. All of these sources can be searched using the newer Textkernel "Source" candidate search, with the exception of VDAB. Customers are encouraged to migrate to the newer Source feature.

Following the acquisition by Bullhorn, Textkernel's customer support email address has changed to:tksupport@bullhorn.com. This is now reflected in the documentation.
Search query usage reports previously included scheduled searches (eg email alerts) sometimes, but now the reports only show interactive search queries.
In the search usage metrics, when calculating the "Last Activity" time of a given search user, automated email alerts are excluded and no longer considered as a contributing activity.

Fixed

The behaviour of the default "Relevance" sort order in the search UI has been fixed. The definition of sorting by "Relevance" now always has the same meaning, regardless of whether a different custom default sort order has been defined. (Previously there was a bug where sometimes "Relevance" applied a custom sort order, resulting in a confusing user experience). Sorting by "Relevance" now always means: sort on the engine score (descending) and sub-sorting on document date (descending). Custom sort orders are still supported, but if defined as the default sort order, they always have a different custom label as part of the search environment configuration.

The profession code & class have been removed from Match queries, keeping only the profession group. This makes the query more user-friendly. The profession code & class were not contributing to the relevance of the results.
Added Text Fingerprint to Match queries. The fingerprint contains a large amount of keywords from the original profile (person or job), and boosts results containing salient keywords over common keywords. This way, it captures important nuances and greatly improves the ranking of the match results. The fingerprint is not displayed to users in the Search UI, but is active in the background.
